Honestly, kids are always a hit or miss when it comes to holding a family session, especially the kiddos who are super shy. That's just reality. But once they start to warm up in front of me & my camera, who knows what is bound to happen! Haha When I met up with Mike & his two little ones last week, before we had started shooting, he warned me how shy they are around new people. Well after a few short minutes of "warming up" to them (mostly by finding cool sticks & rocks with them), we were all basically best friends for life.
I've known Mike for just little over a year now & when he reached out for a family session of him & this kids, I immediately jumped to the opportunity! I had heard & seen the goofy things his little tots would do so I instantly knew that this was going to be such a fun session! And they absolutely did NOT disappoint.
Between finding the best stick swords, the shiniest shells, & to even having races on the beach, Mike & his kiddos are some of my favorite! As are their images from their session!
