One of the best things about getting to photograph family sessions are the kids! Seriously. It usually gives the parents nightmares trying to imagine having their little minions attempt to act somewhat "humane" for a solid hour in public but for me, I love the energy they bring with them!
I got to hang out with the Pohlkotte family down in St. Mary's & while they weren't sure how the entire session would end up, we were definitely able to snag some special moments in between the running around. One thing to keep in mind is that most kids hate being told what to do, where to stand, or even how to behave so sometimes "posing" doesn't necessarily work for every family, especially when there are kids who have just been interrupted during that pre-car ride nap! With that said, it was awesome when we let these little guys just run around & do their thing. They were happy, I was happy & mom and dad were happy that they were going to be having an early bedtime after this session was over! Haha
Andrew & Sarah are super sweet people & I am so lucky to have had the chance to hang out with their little family for a while. Plus the sweet promise of dessert following the session made the kiddos a bit more determined to behave more than anything else! Haha I'm super stoked to get these back to them & I cannot wait to mail them out soon.
